Central Pantry Opens

COLUMBIA - The Central Missouri Food Bank's new Central Pantry will open to the public 10 a.m. Monday.

Food Bank and Pantry workers spent the weekend stocking the new facility at 1007 Big Bear Blvd.

The new location is almost three times larger than the old, where the pantry had been housed for the past 18 years. Several local organizations and a hefty anonymous donation helped the Food Bank purchase the building.

The Central Missouri Food Bank distributes food for no charge to those in need.
